Nod / website terms

Website terms, plainly stated.

These terms apply to the current Nod website, public scanner preview, and documentation linked from this site. They are a plain-language website policy, not a substitute for a signed customer agreement or legal advice.

What Nod is

Nod is an engineering review tool. Its scanner looks for source-code signals related to personal-data collection, storage, logging, sharing, and DPDP-oriented controls. It is not a lawyer, auditor, consent manager, security certification, or compliance certificate.

Use the site responsibly

Use Nod only for repositories and code you are authorized to review. Do not submit credentials, access tokens, secrets, production data, or private repository URLs to the public scanner. Do not attempt to bypass limits, disrupt the service, probe other users, or use the site for unlawful or harmful activity.

How to read scan results

Results are static-analysis signals, not conclusions about how an application works or whether it complies with any law. Pattern-based analysis can miss flows and produce false positives. Review each result with your engineering and legal teams before acting. A score, grade, or finding does not promise a particular legal or security outcome.

Your repository and third-party services

You keep ownership of code you submit and must have the right to submit it. The current public scanner is designed for public GitHub repositories and does not provide GitHub account access or private-repository access. GitHub, hosting providers, and other linked services have their own terms and policies; Nod does not control them.

Availability and changes

The site and preview may be changed, paused, or removed without notice while Nod is being developed. Features labelled planned, preview, or coming soon are not commitments to launch on a particular date. These terms may be updated when the product, data handling, or commercial offering changes.

Content and intellectual property

Nod's original site content, name, visual design, and software are protected by applicable rights. Open-source components, including the public scanner repository, remain subject to their own license terms. Do not copy the site's branding or imply an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected]. If you need a negotiated customer agreement, data-processing terms, service levels, or an enterprise security review, those must be discussed and documented separately before any such service is offered.
