Nod / accessibility
A site people can use in their own way.
We are building the Nod website and product so people can navigate with a keyboard, a screen reader, reduced motion, and different viewport sizes. This is a current progress note, not a claim of full conformance.
Practices in the current site
- Semantic headings, landmarks, links, labels, and native disclosure controls are used where appropriate.
- Keyboard focus indicators remain visible against both light and dark surfaces.
- The site provides a skip link, responsive layouts, and text alternatives for the illustrative scan artwork.
- Animations and smooth scrolling can be reduced through the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - The scanner reports status changes in an accessible live region and moves focus to results or errors after a scan attempt.
Known limitations
The site has not been independently audited against WCAG, and the hosted scanner preview has not been tested across every browser, assistive technology, or high-contrast configuration. Some code-visualization details are illustrative and intentionally hidden from assistive technology so they do not create noise. We will improve the experience as the product develops.
Feedback or difficulty using the site
Please email [email protected] with the page, device or assistive technology if relevant, and what you were trying to do. Do not include passwords, private code, or sensitive personal data. We will use the report to investigate and prioritize an improvement; we do not promise a particular response time.
